My Writing Goals
Rewrite (by hand!) "The Clementine of Enlightenment", my unpublished short story inspired by an encounter while hiking near Harper's Ferry, WV.
Finish my latest round of edits to "READOUT: Aysudalit", my unpublished short story about first contact with a sentient planet comprised mostly of water.
Finish English > Spanish translation #1. (This one is challenging.)
Finish English > Spanish translation #2. (VERY excited about this one.)
Complete Draft #1 of the Water Tower story. (Very weird concept, but it's gonna be EXCELLENT.)
Complete Draft #1 of the Mermaid story. (Inspired by real-life events, there may be merfolk or there may not. I need to finish a draft so I can find out, too!)
Write more poems! (No target quantity, since I can't control when or where I feel like writing them.)

WEEK 3 UPDATE (7/12):
Apparently I was a genius and wrote my Week 2 update but never actually published it. *facepalm*
I'm participating in the NYCMidnight Flash Fiction 2021 contest! Round 1, Part 1 was this weekend and after several false starts, I finally wrote a brand new story that I'm proud of! It'll be a while before I hear how I did, and what my Round 1, Part 2 assignment is, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! (Learn more about what the contest entails here: http://www.nycmidnight.com/Competitions/FFC/Challenge.htm)
Goal progress:
* Started rewriting "The Clementine of Enlightenment" by hand.
* Finished edits to "Readout: Aysudalit" and started shopping the revised story around for publication.
* Wrote several starts to the Water Tower story, but not happy with any of them.
* Wrote ~3? new poems!
