I have ONE WEEK to do six weeks worth of writing. Can I do it?
Of course not! Don't be silly.
Here's the deal: I was in New Orleans during the first week of Clarion West and therefore decided I wasn't going to do the Write-a-thon this year. But then I started to feel a little empty. A little bereft. Who even am I during the last wek of July if I'm not desperately trying to crank out some halfway decent writing?
So here I am, with one week to go, deciding to join up to the Write-a-thon at the VERY LAST MINUTE.
At the moment, I am working on a draft of Book 4 in the Tales of the Rougarou series, currently called Hunting After Ghosts. My goal is to put all my little bits and scraps and ideas together into a semblance of a coherent draft. Not a GOOD draft, mind you. A draft, which will still contain things like "need to write a better scene for this" and "??name??" and notes to myself like "this, but make it good"
Can I do this in one week?
No! Of course not! That's ridiculous!
Can I do something?
Yes. Yes I can.
