Once again,this Thanksgiving Day, November 28, I am participating in the Walk to End Hunger.

Food Insecurity is all around us. Its the child who goes to school hungry, the parent who has to decide between paying the rent,buying medicine, or feeding their family, the senior who worked their whole life and now lives in poverty.

The money you help me raise will go to a place where I am happy to give my time-Second Harvest Heartland. They are a wonderfully well-run organization that organizes produce distributions, packs monthly support boxes for seniors, and rescues unpurchased meats, breads and boxed good for redistribution at local food shelves, all while taking on the daunting task of managing the man hours of hundreds of volunteers as we carry out the work of feeding those in need.
