Hi friends,

Most of you who know me well know that I have no problem speaking my mind...for better or for worse sometimes! I like to think that I'm a zealous advocate, but some people who've read my Facebook page following the recent political debates might justifiably tell me to pipe down on certain issues. Point taken, but one issue that I will never be silent on is the cause of disability rights.

There is not another cause I feel as passionately for as the rights of the people of cognitive disabilities and autism with whom I work every day at a nonprofit called NuPath Inc. The mission of NuPath is to provide people with disabilities the support they need to live, work, learn, grow and participate to their fullest potential in their communities. The most important right that people with disabilities have lacked in our country is one that those of us without disabilities take for granted: becoming fully integrated, respected and valued members of their communities. 

NuPath has lead the charge among other nonprofits of our kind in developing innovative and supportive programs so that people with disabilities can work at jobs they love, volunteer with causes that speak to them, and build the skills they need to live meaningful lives.

Please consider donating to the people I have the honor of serving. They inspire me. They motivate me. They push me out of my comfort zone by doing things like prompting me to ask for donations!
