Ten years ago during the summer of 2009 we lived at the Ronald McDonald House for 127 days, the full length of our sweet Abby Lou’s life. We arrived there, broken hearted after the loss of her brother Joshua who was stillborn at 24 weeks. The house cared for us while we cared for her.

We have a testimony for the power of the house. It’s proximity and mission allowed us to stay so close to the hospital and not worry about the mundane cares of cooking and cleaning. Ever more now we have deep appreciation for people whose mission is to build a community of, and for, the families who are there together while working their way through the uncertainty of having a child in the hospital.

It is our hope that you will help us meet our goal of raising $4,500 (or more =) for the house during this week-long campaign called #WearTheStripesRMH. Will you give? Even the smallest amounts mean so much!
