If you know me well, you know I'm a huge fan of crazy and colorful socks! This week I get to wear my favorite pair all week to raise money in support of keeping families close at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas in Greenville, SC.

I first became involved with the RMHCC over three years ago when I was tasked with being the project architect for expansion of the house.  When I started designing the expansion, I didn't really know that much about the house or organization, but I quickly realized that this was more than just another building, this was a home.  A home for families who are going through the unimaginable.  This 17,500 SF expansion added 12 guestrooms, a new guest reception, family gathering areas, and a large kitchen.  More importantly the expansion has now created the opportunity to serve more families in need in the Upstate, and that exactly where your opportunity begins! 

With more rooms comes more families, and an even greater need for support to keep the house open and fully functioning.  There is also need for renovation to the kitchen and fire suppression system in the original building (Building A).  Please consider donating to this amazing organization, and help keep family close at the RMHCC!
