Mission Statement
The Zack Heger Foundation was founded for and now remains in memory of Zack Heger who struggled and lost his long and brave battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy May 3, 2022 at age 29.
While the ZHF mission was initially founded to fund a cure for DMD and improve the lives of those with MD, we have shifted our purpose to focus on methods of improving accessibility and inclusivity to all people.

Oliver Bates and Sarah Bishop are running for the Zack Heger Foundation. Please read below to see why they are raising funds for such an amazing cause!
Oliver & Sarah: We are running for Zack to help the cause of finding a cure for Muscular Dystrophy. Zack was one of our best friends, and we know how hard he fought against MD with a smile on his face. Growing up with Zack it showed how hard and debilitating this disease can be. We are hoping to raise money to put more eyes and effort on this disease so in the future we will be more well-equipped to help. We are also running to put more focus on HP accessibility. There are so many things that could be improved to help people with disabilities on a day to day, and we need to be more aware. We look forward to running for team Z-man.
