Hello friends and family, thank you for visiting my fundraising site. This is for a cause that is near and dear to my heart and I really appreciate you for taking the time to be here. PLEASE read below and watch the video above and consider making a contribution.
Boys to Men Mentoring (BTM) is a group mentoring program working to connect hundreds of fatherless/at-risk teenage boys with positive male role models they can depend on. BTM programs include weekly, in-school group mentoring, retreat weekends, beach trips, and other activities all geared to improve each boy's overall self-esteem, critical thinking skills, and self-accountability.
This year I am participating in the 100 Wave Challenge to rasie funds for this great program. I am entering my second year as a mentor and have seen firsthand the positive results this program is able to achieve. Growing up fatherless myself, I can relate to a lot of the challenges and struggles these boys are going through. Providing my time as a male role model that they can look to for guidance or simply offering an ear to listen to whatever daily struggle they may be dealing with is so powerful and is somethign missing from their lives.
If I can make a difference in a young boy's life so that he can grow up better than the dad he was dealt, then I am all in. We can’t reach all of them, but the ones that we do reach are going to enter the world as better men.
Here’s what I am going to do: I am attempting to catch 100 waves in one day and raise $2,500 for Boys to Men Mentoring. This year is going to be a special one for me as my 7 year old Daughter Braedyn will actually be filling in for me in the water as I am not fully recivered from a shoulder surgery earlier this year.
Please help Braedyn and I out and consider making a donation to this page and help us support these young men who are working to be the best they can be!
Thank you for your support.
