Hi everyone, 

Next month, I’ll be taking part in the 11th annual 100 Wave Challenge the largest fundraiser of the year for Boys to Men Mentoring, an amazing 501c3 that's helped thousands of at-risk teenage boys living in marginalized communities, many of them fatherless.    

I interviewed Joe Sigurdson on my podcast last year. He's the co-founder of Boys to Men and the 100 Wave Challenge. I fell immediately in love with him, the kids he's helping, the remarkable mentors that give their time, hearts and souls, and the school administrators who swear by the success of their group mentoring strategy.

Boys to Men Mentoring gives these young men the love, guidance, and direction they deserve. When these boys join they instantly become part of a larger, loving family.  

Thankfully, many of you supported me last year. This year, your help is even more vital in these crazy times. Keeping these kids safe and connected today is tougher and more important than ever.

Meanwhile, if you're a surfer, and you'd like to take the challenge, this year it's far easier to participate. You needn't drive all the way to San Diego. This year, you can take part anywhere you can find a wave, and you have from now until November 22 to pull it off. That's why this year it's "Your 100 Wave Challenge."

You can join my team, or create your own after you do! Either way, you're helping these kids! And I'm happy to send you email templates and any info you need to wrangle supporters.  

Yes, asking for donations can be icky and uncomfortable. But when you see these kids, and how they thrive from this program, making this available to as many as possible far outweighs any temporary uneasiness. You're going to feel great for helping.
