I am taking the 100 Wave Challenge for Boys to Men Mentoring in order to support their efforts to bring positive male mentorship to hundreds of young men in San Diego County.

Boys to Men Mentoring is a nonprofit organization facilitating consistent group mentoring for the fatherless, at-risk, and disconnected teenage boys of San Diego County. Through strategic partnerships with local middle schools, high schools, and community partner locations, Boys to Men connects teenage boys with compassionate mentors who provide the encouragement, empowerment, and accountability they need to thrive.

There is nothing more powerful than surrounding a young man with a community of support and giving him the opportunity to reach his fullest potential. I hope to do that this year by attempting to catch 100 waves in one day to raise money and awareness for Boys to Men.

I have personally donated my time as a mentor and have seen first hand the results of this program.  We are literally saving their lives and empowering these young men to be productive, respectful, contributors to society.  I am sensitive to mental health, addiction, suicide, and homelessness but not only do most of those non profit organizations recieve massive amounts of funding, but I also feel strongly that those causes are band aids that can't be solved.  Boys 2 men is 100% funded from private donations and we are addressing potential future problems at the source.  Kids.....
