Rylan was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was just 1 and half years old. It took all of us a little bit to adjust to our new life of daily meds, carrying emergency medicine with us and the constant fear of our son and the boys' brother having a seizure (yes we all still have this fear, we are just more educated now). Rylan still has many seizures a day and abnormalities in the front right part of his brain so we will continue to fight! We are insipred by Rylan's bravery! He has many continued doctor appointments, hospital stays and him adjusting to going to school and meeting new friends this year! 

The epilepsy foundation of MN and wonderful doctors at the MN Epilepsy Group have helped us so much with information, education, support and finding a medicine that "works" for Rylan!! 

We are raising money for the Epilepsy Foundation of MN because they have a great mission and so many wonderful progams! Camp Oz- a camp staffed with doctors and nurses 24/7 so kids can be kids at an over night camp or day camp! Seizure Smart Schools-help educate teachers and staff if an incident were to happen while at school and away from mom and dad! This helped us feel confident that Rylan would be in great hands and the teachers feel comfortable having Rylan in their classrooms! And of course research for a cure!!!!
