For those of you who don't know me, I am a wife, mother of 2, dog mom to 1, special education attorney, and very proud supporter of the Doug Fluite, Jr. Foundation for Autism.

We are so excited to be participating in our 8th Flutie 5K to raise critical funds to support families affected by autism. 8 years ago, our son was diagnosed with autism. We struggled to find support groups and service providers, but were never alone. We were lucky enough to have an amazing neighborhood of people who have both accepted and supported us in this journey. We were also very lucky to learn about the Doug Flutie, Jr., Foundation for Autism early on.
The Flutie Foundation helps children and families live life to the fullest by making it possible for them to access therapies and family support, sensory equipment, music therapy, inclusive summer camps, and more. It takes a village, and the Flutie Foundation is that village for all of those children and families. They make immediate differences in people's lives. They are also one of the few organizations making an actual difference in lives of autistic adults looking for employment.
