In May 2019, our daughter Cora Belle was born early at 35 weeks due to preeclampsia with severe features via emergency C-section. Cora Belle spent 15 days in the NICU due to complications of premature birth. Courtney (mom) was hospitalized 6 days after birth due to complications from preeclampsia.
We have been passionate about raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of preeclampsia ever since we experienced this. Our dream is that if our daughter decides to have children through pregnancy one day, she will not have to experience preeclampsia. We can make this dream a reality through donations to the Preeclampsia Foundation by raising funds to support research, patient and provider education, and awareness.
