On Sunday, March 3, 2024 Ed and I will be freezin' for a reason at the 2024 Chicago Polar Plunge!! We are ready to jump into Lake Michigan’s chilly waters to support thousands of Chicagoans who participate in Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children’s Charities programs. In fact, we are not making New Years resolutions NOT to lose weight because we need every ounce of fat to insulate us from the frigid waters!
Our son John is a proud Special Olympian - and the funds we raise help him and his buddies continue in competitive sports like Unified Basketball, bocci ball, the softball throw, and the 25 yard dash. We are firm believers and John is living proof that people with intellectual disabilities thrive with the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities, and friendships with teammates!
