On Sunday, March 3, 2024 I will participate in the 2024 Chicago Polar Plunge, one of the city's most popular winter fundraising events!
I plunge because I believe in inclusion. Inclusion is something that every child, parent, sister, brother, or friend should experience. Inclusion for kids is welcoming anyone to sit at the lunch table, join the group at recess, talk about their soccer game at school, and to feel welcome in the group. Everyone experiences moments and times of not being on the "in". By supporting groups like Special Olympics Chicago and Special Children's Charitys I am trying to make it possible to include. To create a space where kids get to experience their potential and moms, dads, grandparents, siblings, all get to watch with pride as their child competes. Everyone deserves a chance to be included. So please join me in making it possible for some really great people to have their moment to shine and to show our kids what inclusion really means.
