This is the 4th year The Steward School has supported the ASK Foundation through our annual Clips for Cancer Event. On Friday, February 21st, several Steward students, parents, faculty, and staff will volunteer to donate eight inches of hair to be professionally cut during a schoolwide assembly. This donation goes to Planet Hair, an organization which makes wigs for children affected by cancer or alopecia. Many students who cannot provide eight inches of hair have volunteered to shave their head to show support for the cause. During this special event, the Cancer Awareness Club will collect donations from the student body to go towards the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. We all feel very strongly about helping out families of children with cancer. It is one significant way our school community can share the love in our greater Richmond community.
