20 years ago, 300 people (mostly the families of children going through treatment) showed up for the first ever ASK 5K & Fun Walk. It has since grown to host more than 1,200 participants with many participating across the state, turning strangers into family.
The Walk began as a way to invite the Richmond community into the struggles our kids and families face and celebrate their strength and resilience. It is now one of our most anticipated events of the year! With kids on active treatment stopping everything just to walk across that finish line, this event has become the heart of ASK. It is truly so much #MoreThanAWalk!
