On January 14th 2024 Ruby was diagnosed with AML Leukemia, a rare and very aggressive blood cancer. After 113 nights at CHOR Children's Hospital of Richmond from January to June, 4 rounds of Chemo, 6 bone marrow biopsies, 4 spinal taps, Countless blood transfusions, platelet transfusions, labs, cultures, every scan imaginable and endless medications our survivor is in COMPLETE REMISSION! She was released from the hospital days before her birthday in June. After braving the first half of the year we have spent every day since filling Ruby’s life with as much wonderment as we possibly can. Much of this wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support and kindness we’ve received from the incredible Childhood Cancer Foundation ASK!
The ASK Foundation provided us with crucial financial support, Care during treatment, Advocacy with the School Navigator Program and so much more. ASK cares beyond treatment and is providing us with ongoing continued support.
