Henry was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in March 2023. Despite the challenges of treatment, he is now a happy, sweet, goofy three-year-old. He is approaching the end of treatment on May 30, 2025. 

Throughout this journey, ASK has supported our family in small and large ways by providing direct financial assistance for unexpected expenses, hosting fun events for families like ours, and advocating at the state level for policies that will support children and families facing the unimaginable challenge of pediatric cancer. 

This winter, at ASK's annual advocacy day, we met with legislators to ask for their support of ASK's essential education navigators program, which provides hands-on assistance to children as they navigate returning to school after a cancer diagnosis. And, we advocated for paid family medical leave, which would be an absolute gift to families going through this process. 

We are so happy to participate in this fun event each year, because the impact ASK has on our families is immeasurable.
