For this year‘s Walk 4 Paws, I am raising money for one of my favorite shelter dogs - Kaya. She was the most goofy and loving dog and learned how to trust in the care of me and other volunteers. Kaya came in as a stray in August of 2024 and was unsure of many things. But with time and commitment, she started warming up to me and just after a few weeks of knowing her we created a close bond. I spent countless hours working with Kaya to be the best companion for her future adopter, so someone else could make the amazing memories I made with her.
The money earned this year will help future shelter animals to have the time they need to learn trust and love, to eventually experience the relationship that me and Kaya had.
