In March of 2023, my son Henry was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He underwent 2.5 years of intense treatment. Today, he is in remission and is a curious, smart, fun-loving 4.5 year old. He will celebrate his one year anniversary off-treatment on May 30, 2026. 

Throughout our family's journey, ASK supported us at every step. They provided us with financial resources, toys and gifts to keep Henry entertained, community events, to education support once he returned to school. I've also enjoyed participating in ASK's annual Advocacy Day at the General Assembly to advocate for funding for ASK's education navigator program and paid medical leave so that parents can be present for their children going through treatment.
