Our dad, Danny, was diagnosed with Stage IV lung adenocarcinoma in December of 2024. As an otherwise healthy man, who loved being active, working on projects, landscaping, playing with his 2 golden retrievers, cooking all kinds of cuisine, and cheering on WVU, this came as a huge shock to our family. We are now over a year into this diagnosis, and we are so thankful to be able to say our dad is doing well on a targeted therapy. There is not a day that goes by that we do not think about how the trajectory of all our lives could be vastly different without medical research and science. We are so honored to participate in this event again because we know the true value of Lung Cancer Initiative. The money raised is used to further research and support those directly affected by the myriad of lung cancer disease processes. Last year, our team raise $4128 dollars and we are setting our goal at $4500 this year. Please help us reach our goal by joining our team and donating to "Danny's Mountaineers". Most of our team members walk untimed, but we will cheer you on if you want to run! Furry family members and children welcome.
