Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page for this year's Dempsey Challenge!

On November 9, 2018, my life changed when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Tom and I felt like our world had suddenly stopped. We were scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what the road ahead would bring. We shared the news with our parents, siblings, family, friends, co-workers, and my players and immediately we felt the incredible support of our community.

Over the next three years, I went through chemotherapy, radiation, and six surgeries. The physical and emotional toll was significant, not only for me, but for everyone who loved and supported me. There were incredibly difficult days, but I never felt like I was facing them alone.

The Dempsey Center was an important part of that journey. What makes the Dempsey Center so special is that they support the entire person and their support system, not just the individual diagnosed with cancer. They offer therapy, acupuncture, support groups, education, and so much more, all at no cost to cancer patients and their families.

I know firsthand how meaningful that support can be.
