Dear Community,

We’re coming together again to take part in the 2026 Dempsey Challenge, raising funds for the incredible work of the Dempsey Center—and we would love for you to be part of it.

On November 9, 2018, our lives changed in an instant when my wife, Sue, was diagnosed with breast cancer. In those first moments, everything felt like it stopped. Still reeling, we began sharing the news with our parents, siblings, extended family, friends, coworkers, and Sue’s players. One diagnosis quickly touched so many lives.

What followed were three incredibly difficult years—chemo, radiation, six surgeries, and the emotional toll that came with it. We could not have made it through without the unwavering support of our community. Truly, it took all of us.

And alongside that support, the Dempsey Center was there every step of the way. Their care goes far beyond the patient, they lift up the entire support system. They provide a welcoming, compassionate space with access to counseling, support groups, acupuncture, education, and more all at no cost. That kind of care changes lives. It changed ours.

Now, we’re hoping to give back.
