2026 Dempsey Challenge

I'm raising money for the Dempsey Center!

Greetings Friends and Dempsey Challenge Supporters,

For the 18th consecutive year I will be participating in The Dempsey Challenge to benefit the Dempsey Center and help make life better for people impacted by cancer.

This year will be different though. Every year I have been asked if I am a survivor or who I am riding for. My asnwer has always been "I ride iin memory of my mother-in-law Doris and my wife Valerie, who is a survivor diagnosed months before the first ride in 2009". My response this year will need to change since, as I write this, I am at home recovering from surgery to remove a canerous tumor from my left kidney. I still ride in memory and support of others, but I will now be included amoung those who participate as a cancer survivor.

Raising funds for this important cause has always had meaning for me, this year it has even more.
