Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for this year's Dempsey Challenge!
Supporting people and families affected by cancer has always been a cause close to my heart, but this year, it's especially important to me. Over the summer, my stepfather was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and our family has seen firsthand how cancer impacts not only the person receiving treatment, but everyone who loves and supports them. Lives change in an instant. Suddenly, comforts of home are exchanged for extended hospital stays, intensive chemotheropy, financial burdens, and uncertaintity on what the next day will hold.
That's why I'm proud to support the Dempsey Center and the no-cost services they provide to patients, care partners, and families navigating the challenges of cancer. When I participate in the Dempsey Challenge 5K this year, I'll be running in honor of Adam and our family.
