I’m participating in the Dempsey Challenge this year in honor of my friend Adraine, who has been so greatly missed since she lost her long and brave battle with ovarian cancer this May at 38.
Adrienne organized and selflessly led our first Dempsey Challenge team in 2023, in gratitude for the incredible support the Center provided to her and her family through many modalities. She was always looking for ways to bring people together and celebrate, so it feels especially meaningful to continue doing this in her honor.
I miss her dearly and am really grateful to be able to be part of the Challenge again this year.
The Dempsey Challenge is the premiere fundraising event for the Dempsey Center, a nonprofit founded by actor Patrick Dempsey. The Dempsey Center makes life better for people impacted by cancer by easing the side effects of cancer by improving their physical, emotional, social, familial, and functional well-being at any point in their cancer journey--all at no cost.
