Dearest Fellow Americans and Friends of Jim,

 

Thank you for caring about Americans held captive abroad and our brave journalists as we begin the celebration of our 250 years of freedom as a nation!

 

Because of you, more than 200 fellow Americans unjustly held captive abroad have been freed and countless aspiring journalists have been equipped with the safety training needed to pursue and deliver the facts.

 

The 12th Annual James W. Foley Freedom 5K Walk/Run will take place on October 17, 2026, at the James Foley Community Center in Rochester, New Hampshire, and on October 24, 2026, in Washington, DC. Participants in other locations around the world are also invited to participate virtually.

We invite you to:

  • Become a Foley Freedom Run fundraiser
  • Start a team
  • Rally your network to run, walk, participate virtually, or donate
  • Help grow awareness and support for the mission through email and social media promotion
  • Vote for the 2026 Foley Run T-shirt color by July 24
