MY STORY
Hi! My name is Sebastian Zamora, and I am blessed to be serving as a Support Crew missionary for the ME Team with Biking for Babies this year! This is my first time ever serving as a missionary, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of this mission.
I am an active member of Catholic Retrievers, the Catholic campus ministry at UMBC. Through that community, I was able to attend SEEK26, where I first encountered Biking for Babies. As someone who has a love for biking, I was immediately drawn in, but more importantly, this mission helped me reflect more deeply on the dignity of every human life and the importance of defending and supporting life in a real and tangible way.
In the past, I have not always actively advocated for or voiced my values regarding the Gospel of Life for a variety of reasons, many of which I now recognize as excuses. Biking for Babies felt like a powerful opportunity to learn more about this mission, grow in virtue and strength, and live out my faith more boldly. I am committed to helping my fellow missionaries, supporting mothers and families, and serving this mission with my mind, body, and spirit.
This mission is also deeply personal to me because I was an unplanned baby. I feel incredibly blessed to be on this earth and to have lived so many fruitful experiences. Just as my mother needed support when she was pregnant with me, I want to help support other mothers who may be facing difficult or unexpected circumstances. Every mother deserves to feel seen, loved, and supported, and every child deserves the chance to live.
