Hi, I’m Liam! I’m only 20 months old, so Mama is writing this for me.
Apparently, I have a pretty good reason to walk this year. I was born at 32 weeks after Mama developed preeclampsia, and I spent my first 30 days hanging out in the NICU. I don’t remember any of that, but Mama tells me I was very small, very cute, and apparently quite the troublemaker.
These days, I’m mostly busy with important toddler things like running away from Mama, asking for snacks, and making sure everyone knows when I disagree with them. But this November, Mama is going to push me around in my stroller for the Boston Promise Walk so we can help raise awareness for preeclampsia and support other families whose stories started out like ours.
I may not understand why I’m walking yet, but I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy the snacks.
