Welcome to my fundraising page for HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer! When you support the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance through registration or a donation to my HOM Teal Strides page, you help fund critical research and programming for women and families impacted by ovarian cancer.
I was diagnosed in 2013, and had to undergo chemotherapy. Then in 2015, it came back, but thankfully I only had to have surgery. This will be my 8th year doing the race, and 8 years being cancer free. Most women get diagnosed when they are in their 50s and it is terminal. I am beyond thankful I caught mine early. I was 20 when I was diagnosed with stage 1c ovarian cancer. Symptoms of ovarian cancer are similarly to that of a period. That's why it's so important to get checked out regularly by your doctor or gynecologist. Think outside the bra and protect the whooha!
Please, donate today to help me make a difference against ovarian cancer, and consider joining me to walk and run against this disease on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Rosland Park in Edina!
