Alpha Pi Chi National Sorority (Alpha Alpha Chapter )

Alpha Pi Chi National Sorority, Inc., a not-for-profit service organization whose aim is to provide scholarship, service and support throughout our communities, the organization is a national sisterhood between all women dedicated to the principles and ideals of a true democracy.

S.O.S. – Support Our Schools

This program affords chapters with an opportunity to partner with their local school system in an effort to assist in providing educational enrichment. The program is supported by members volunteering to participate in activities such as one-on-one tutoring or helping in the classroom and chaperoning field trips. Chapters provide financial assistance in purchasing school supplies for disadvantaged students. The impact of this program will extend far beyond the classroom walls. It offers the opportunity for Alpha Pi Chi Sorority to leave a legacy of service.

Classroom Central equips students in need to effectively learn by collecting and distributing free school supplies to their teachers. We serve teachers and students in nearly 200 schools across six school districts in the Charlotte Region.

While most of our region’s students will be learning remotely, a computer with wifi isn’t the only supply they’ll need. Remote students will still take notes with pens, pencils and paper. They’ll need pocket folders, binders, and backpacks to stay organized. And they’ll take art class with crayons, markers, and glue. Remote learning has actually increased our community’s need for supplies because classrooms can no longer share materials, and now even more families are experiencing financial hardships.
