Frequently Asked Questions

What is a virtual bike ride? It’s charity-focused peer-to-peer event that is connected virtually! Complete the daily challenges in the comfort of your own home or neighborhood. Post and brag about doing the daily challenge with a link to your fundraising page. Ask your friends and family to help you meet your fundraising goal for each of the 6 days.

How much of the money will go to PCRC? PCRC is a 501(c)3 organization, making all donations received tax-deductible. We work very hard to keep production expenses as low as possible by soliciting sponsorships, donations and discounts for supplies. We’re grateful to our sponsors who have helped offset these costs so that every dollar you raise goes directly to programing.

What is the fundraising requirement? There is no requirement, however, we do encourage every participant to commit to raising at least $100. This is in addition to any registration fees.

Refunds? We are sorry but we do not offer refunds. If you are unable to participate, we’re happy to convert your registration to a donation.

When can I register to participate?

  • For the Ride: Anytime between today and August 13.

  • For the Walk: Anytime between today and August 14 before the 10 a.m.. event

When can I start fundraising? As soon as you register! Go get 'em, tiger!

What are the registration fees? It depends on what you sign up for. This year, you can participate in JUST the Virtual Challenge, JUST the Walk, or do BOTH!

  • Individual Registration (for the bike ride or the walk): $20

  • Family/Team Registration (for the bike ride or the walk): $40

Where's the Walk? The August 14 Walk will take place at Quarry Walk in Oxford, Conn. at 10 a.m. Join us for the walk around the Quarry Walk space, then bring your own blanket and snacks and stay for our celebration! Don't feel like packing up food? You can grab a bite from one of the tasty shops and eateries at Quarry Walk! The day of celebration ends at 8 p.m.

I want to volunteer! What do you need and how do I sign up? We are asking that people sign up for 3 hour shifts (if you want to help longer, that's great!). Sign up here

We will start setting up the event at 8 a.m and we will close everything down at 8 p.m. We'll need people to help us check in walkers, supervise the family games, set up and close up the event, general help and sell raffle tickets. This is a great opportunity for high school students to get their volunteer hours in!

Who can I contact for more information? Reach out to our team at development@bhcare.org. We’re happy to help!
