HELLO FRIENDS & FAMILY,

We are down to the wire! Our OPTIMISM WALK & 5K RUN happen this Saturday ... 2 days from now and we are all still working to try to get closer to the goal for this major fundraiser. Thanks to all of you very generous folks who have been part of my life over these many (!!) years, I have almost reached the final goal I set for this year's walk. I am as always indebted to and thankful for each of you and your caring hearts. This life with PD is nothing that any of us has chosen but the response from those of you who are sharing our journey in so many varied and valuable ways means so much to each of us. All of the helpful support programs and services provided through the APDA can really make a difference in the lives of anyone with PD and their families. Unbelieveably one more person is added to that number in the USA every 6 minutes!! That is one reason I am so driven to raise funds to support this effort. As I write this, this year's WALK is still 25% short of its $115,000 goal so we all would love you to spread the word to your friends and family and perhaps encourage them to join our fundraising effort.
