- Providing local education, information, and support like the exercise and local support groups I participate in.
- Providing critical nationwide virtual programs to keep everyone supported and connected no matter where they live because sometimes individuals with Parkinson's can't make it out the door to access programs and information.
- Funding scientific research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and ultimately a cure - Wouldn't that be great?!?

It has been over 9 years since I was first diagnosied with Parkinson's and each year and week has gotten harder. This past year, my symptoms and side effects have changed. Some days, I can get up and be ready to go out the door. Other weeks, my legs freeze, I can't move and simple tasks can be confusing, It's pretty frustrating. However, this year, I found new independence with a my scooter that I can ride down to Chrissy's house to share coffee or wine whenever I want. I've also been able to travel to new places with Stephen or Tommy so long as I move slow and they don't mind stopping to smell the roses.
