2025 Seattle Parkinson's Optimism Walk
Thank you for joining us for the APDA Northwest Chapter Optimism Walk!
Across the nation, walkers united to take meaningful steps in support of everyone affected by Parkinson’s disease. At the Northwest Walk, every dollar raised will stay local—directly funding programs and services that help individuals with Parkinson’s live their fullest lives. Your support also helps fund cutting-edge research to develop better treatments and, ultimately, find a cure.

2025 Seattle Optimism Walk Honoree
The APDA Northwest Chapter is proud to recognize Wayne Curran as the 2025 Seattle Optimism Walk Honoree.
A distinguished U.S. Army veteran, Wayne served our country for 20 years (1969–1989), including a year deployed in Vietnam. In 2021, Wayne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and since then his strength, service, and unwavering dedication to the Parkinson’s community are an inspiration. In 2024, Wayne earned the incredible distinction of being the top individual fundraiser nationwide across all APDA Optimism Walks.
Please join us in celebrating Wayne’s service, determination, and impact, while honoring Wayne and all our heroes as we walk together with optimism and purpose in 2025.
