I am running in the Ask 5k to help celebrate my wife's birthday and to honor the memory of her twin brother, David. May 4th is Andrea's 40th birthday and David be right here with us celebrating if he was still alive.

David was diagnosed with brain cancer on May 25, 1995, just a few weeks after their 16th birthday.

From what I have been told, David was an amazing kid. He was loving and caring in every way possible. He was adventurous and I know he'd be right next to us in all of our adventures and even egging us on to do some crazy stuff. David was a great guy and I wish I could have known him. I regret not having him with us to enjoy life.

During the course of treatment, David went to St. Jude two times and also participated in a clinical trial, but unfortunately, all options were exhausted. He died the morning of September 17th, only a few months after the tumor was discovered.
