Bark on the Beach 2026 – Let’s Hit $50K for the Animals!

Bark on the Beach is a one-mile, people-and-dog walk-a-thon that supports Animal Rescue Rhode Island (ARRI) and directly impacts over 500 pets.

By participating, you directly contribute to providing food, medical care, behavioral training, and loving shelter for animals in need.

Each year, the event welcomes over 300 local animal lovers and their pets to Narragansett Town Beach for a festive morning of fun, community, and purpose. This event is for cat lovers too!

In 2026, our goal is to raise $50,000 to strengthen and expand this life-saving work.

Supporters and participants will enjoy a lively atmosphere with prizes, food, refreshments, Wag-Swag Bags, fun activities & rewards for top fundraising teams.

Perks of Participating!

When you register for Bark on the Beach, whether indivdual or as a team, you’re not just supporting ARRI’s lifesaving work; you’re unlocking a tail-wagging lineup of rewards!

All participants receive a gift for signing up, & the more you fundraise, the more prizes you could win.

How to Get Barking:

  • Go Solo: Create your personal fundraising page, share it, and earn fun incentives while helping animals in need.
  • Form a Pack: Rally 4–6 friends, family, or coworkers to walk and fundraise together and team up for more fun and impact!

Your registration fee supports ARRI’s mission and counts toward your fundraising goal. Every dollar raised helps rescue and care for homeless pets. Let’s save lives together. Start fundraising today!

Event: 15th Annual Bark on the Beach

Time: 9:30am-11:30am

Location: Narragansett Town Beach

Join us for one of the most beloved pet- and family-friendly events of the season!

Enjoy a morning of coastal fun, community spirit, and tail-wagging excitement—all while supporting animals in need.

This event is open to everyone, so bring your family, friends, and dog(s)!

We Bark on the Beach rain or shine! However, in the case of severe weather, we will cancel. If this is the case, we will update our BOTB homepage on or before the morning of the event, send out an email & post on social media.

*All dogs participating must be up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations.

Become a Virtual Walker

Can’t make it to Narragansett Town Beach on September 13? No problem, you can still be part of the fun and help homeless pets from wherever you are!

As a Virtual Walker, you can complete your mile-long walk anytime, anywhere.  Pick your favorite trail, walk around your neighborhood, or even on your treadmill with your furry friend by your side.

Whether you walk solo, with your pup, or rally a group of friends, every step you take helps us get closer to our $50,000 goal to support animals in need.

Virtual Walker's are eligible to earn the bark on the beach t-shirt and prizes from the incentive levels.

*Local pick-up of prizes preferred.
