I am so blesed to be a part of serving with the Beat Bama Food Drive as the Assistant Director of Greek Organizations with so many students from around Auburn's campus! The Beat Bama Food Drive is a seven week food drive and is a competition against the University of Alabama. Last year we were able to raise 198,041 pounds of food to donate to the Food Bank of East Alabama! We are the largest donor to the Food Bank of East Alabama and this year hope to be able to give even more. Unfortunately, over 25,000 people in the Lee Country area struggle with food insecurity. Out of these 25,000 people, 1 out of 5 happen to be children, this means that 1 out of 5 kids don't know where their next meal is coming from. I have pledged to raise $250 and hope to exceed that! The people of Lee County are so supportive of Auburn students so I would love to be able to give back to a town that has given me such a wonderful place to live and the perfect home away from home. Together we can make food insecurity a thing of the past. All donations are greatly appreciated for just $1 can make 7 meals at the Food Bank of East Alabama! ‪#‎BeatBama‬ ‪#‎1in5‬
