Bowl4Youth is about more than knocking down pins. It’s about raising funds to start a new reading and math tutoring program at Walter P. Carter Elementary/Middle School where82% of students are well below grade level. Let's "spare" these young children from the potential frustration, embarassment and a downward trajectory that could be difficult to overcome.
This organization is really important to me and I’m working hard to support them. My husband, Ed was on the board of this organization about 10 years ago in its infancy and we have seen the way the lives of these youth have been impacted for the better. It is great to know that many volunteers are giving of their time, talents, and treasure to help the youth in Baltimore city that have limited resources and/or raised by single parents.
