Our Team Fundraising Page
I became a volunteer with CARE in 2012, and I have so enjoyed being a part of the CARE community. I currently foster kittens, taking in vulnerable neonate kittens that require bottle feeding and intensive care during their first few weeks of life. Fostering kittens is such a joy, watching them grow from completely helpless tiny creatures into rambunctious healthy kittens, and then finding the perfect home for them once they're old enough. I have 5 foster kittens right now and they are so much fun!
The work that CARE does is just amazing. Not only does this organization save the lives of homeless dogs and cats every day, but they provide low or no-cost spay/neuter to lower income families, which directly impacts the number of future unwanted animals. CARE also educates young children about pet responsibility, so that some day, we hope, animals will no longer be dumped at shelters, and organizations like CARE will not be needed.
CARE does not receive any funding from the county or other government entities. Everything CARE does is funded by donations from our community. When we take animals into our foster program, CARE pays for everything, including veterinary services, medication, food, treats, litter, toys, and spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fees don't even begin to cover these expenses.
This is where you come in! I hope you'll join me in donating to CARE so that we can continue to save the lives of cats and dogs, as well as provide services to decrease pet overpopulation.
If you would like to walk with me and join my team, please join Team Little Creek through this site. You can also just donate to my personal fundraising page here, or I will happily take cash or check!
