Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.
Natalia's story is sacred to me, but I'm ready to share it with others in hopes that we can help other babies & children. We were completely blindsided by Natalia's heart condition at birth , which consisted of 2 holes in her heart, one being a large VSD that would not let her live past five months. We were so unprepared for this day to day journey; and now what we know as forever, but she survived to one day tell her story and teach us something. March 23, 2022 Natalia underwent a 6 hour open heart surgery at Christ Children's hospital. At this point her organs were shutting down, and we were facing the worse. It was heartbreaking and awful to watch her go through this, but her tenacious spirit saw us through. Dr Luca, Dr Kirsten,and the entire PICU team are forever etched in our hearts and this journey we now know.
Everyday I thank God; continuous science advances, and generous donars from near and far for helping kids just like Natalia. I don't remember what life was without her- please help us help other families. No donation is too small, we appreciate this so much. One day it could be someone you love. Because of people like YOU Natalia is here to continue her story of being a warrior.
