The summer after my first semester of grad school for prosthetics, I went to Ecuador with ROMP for the first time. Six years later, I am now a fully certified Orthotist Prosthetist, on ROMP's Jr. Board, and an Ambassador of 4 years. This September, a dream five years in the making, and the culmination of many years of hard work comes true: I am a prosthetist on the ROMP team Hiking in Ecuador. The Climb Team will be attempting to summit the three highest mountains in Ecuador (Chimborazo 20,549 ft, Cotopaxi 19,347 ft, and Cayambe 18,996 ft). Please help me fundraise $10,000 to sustain prosthetic care in Ecuador and Guatemala, open a clinic in a third country, and empower the human potential of those living with limb loss that might not otherwise have access to prosthetic care.
