Challenges

Win the CSUSM program you love a bonus $500, $1,000, $1,500 or even $2,000 cash award by participating in a Giving Day Challenge. With 18 challenges and $17,500 on the line, you have an opportunity to make an even bigger impact. The timing of your gift, the collective power of giving in numbers, and spreading the word on social media are all ways you increase the odds of your gift being magnified beyond the dollar-for-dollar match.

Here’s how it works:

When you make a gift of any amount, your gift is automatically entered to win a challenge for the fund you supported. Share why you gave using the hashtag #HeartofaCougar on a public social media account and your gift is entered to win another challenge. Ask a new donor to give for the first time and their gift is entered to win a $2,000 challenge. Winners will be announced on this page and on social media.

Special thanks to Foundation Board director Steve Wagner and his wife, Laura, and Foundation Board director and alumnus Nathaniel Keifer-Wheals for generously funding our Giving Day 2019 challenges!
