Dance for Life is a one-of-a-kind annual performance and benefit event that has showcased over 50 Chicago-based dance companies, as well as numerous choreographers, artists, and designers, throughout the past 33 years. The celebratory performance fuels The Fund and those who participate graciously donate their time, energy, and artistry.
In 2024, we return to the Auditorium Theatre to carry forth the founding principles of Dance for Life—compassion and service—while honoring the vibrancy of Chicago’s dance community. The celebratory performance will be held on Saturday, August 10 at 6PM and will be followed by the After Party at Venue SIX10.
The complete lineup includes returning companies Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater, Giordano Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The Joffrey Ballet, Trinity Irish Dance Company, and Visceral Dance Chicago. Making their Dance for Life debuts are Ballet 5:8, Praize Productions, and Winifred Haun & Dancers. Choreographing the finale, performed by dancers from throughout the Chicago area, is Jonathan Alsberry, featuring original music by Ira Antelis.
