I have been working at David's House Ministries for almost a year now as a direct care provider. This was not my first choice in work because I was far more interested in working and interacting with the youth. Upon accepting the job offer, I have been pleasantly surprised with how quickly I fell in love with all of the residents at House 2 (where I work). Since accepting my direct care position last October, I have: changed my major in college so that aligns closer to the work I do at DHM, received my Certified Nursing Assistant license in order to do better work at DHM and have been spending my free time trying to be able to spend one on one time with each of the residents.
I did not expect to love my job here. But now I can't imagine being anywhere else at this point in my life. Please prayerfully consider donating to help David's House grow and to help provide better quality care that each of these special needs individuals deserve.
