This past Easter time, our dear friend and original resident, Jim DeVries passed away. Jim lived at House 1 and moved to House 2 as his needs increased. He finished his life's journey as a resident of House 4. He and his wonderful family have been a part of the fabric of David's House and have had a significant impact on my life and the lives of everyone here.
This year, I am raising money in Jim's honor. Though Jim has moved on to his heavenly home, many of his friends are still here and need our help. I will be announcing the total raised in his honor at the victory celebration at the conclusion of the Walk-A-Thon on September 16.
And this year, supporting David's House in the Walk-A-Thon has never been easier! With the help of Qgiv, all event registration, fundraising and donating can now be done online. All gifts made toward the Walk-A-Thon will go directly toward providing our residents with the quality physical, emotional and spiritual care they need.
