Brigham and Women's Hospital is in the Academic Giving Competition to win! And, most importantly, to raise funds supporting the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) and its grantees, scholars, and fellows.
We all know the enormous value research provides to our field. And the importance of ensuring a strong pipeline of researchers ready to move anesthesiology and medicine forward.
In pursuit of that goal, every year FAER awards over $3 million in grants and sponsors more than 100 student fellows and resident scholars!
Our department has received 15 FAER grants, starting with a grant to Dr. Simon Gelman in 1980! And Brigham and Women’s Hospital has proudly hosted 11 medical students for FAER anesthesiology research fellowships since 2012.
