We’re in the Academic Giving Competition to WIN!
And, most importantly, to raise (lots of!) funds supporting the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) and its grantees, scholars and fellows!
We all know the enormous value research provides to our field. And the importance of ensuring a strong pipeline of researchers ready to move anesthesiology and medicine forward.
In pursuit of that goal, every year FAER awards over $3 million in grants and sponsors more than 100 student fellows and resident scholars!
Since 1981, our department has received 35 grants from FAER! These grants have helped launch careers and ultimately led to important research discoveries by our colleagues.
On top of that, Penn has proudly hosted 30 medical students for FAER anesthesiology research fellowships since 2005.
