If academic anesthesiology has a nucleus, it’s FAER. Every year, they provide over $3 million in research and education grants to early-career anesthesiologists, helping departments support the next generation of clinician-investigators and securing the future of research and discovery in our specialty. They also sponsor over 100 medical student, resident, and fellow scholars in various programs, helping to attract the brightest and then to keep them inspired.

WCM Anesthesiology has a long and remarkably successful history with FAER. Thirteen current members of our faculty have been the recipient of a FAER award. To put it simply: we couldn’t have done it without them. And what FAER has done to support us, they have also done to support other departments throughout the country.

In honor of the department’s 75^th anniversary, we have set a goal of trying to raise at least $10,000. Any donation given during this period will be credited to Team WCM Anesthesiology.
